Scholarship

In honor of Vivian's memory we have created the

 Vivian Thanh-Van Cheng 
     Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship fund is intended for the Northern Virginia Community College Nursing Program. Vivian was a nursing
student at NVCC when she passed away. She was set to graduate in the summer of 2010 and become licensed as a Registered Nurse. Potential candidates for this award would have to possess the same qualities and traits as exhibited by Vivian Cheng.

With this scholarship, we hope to have a long-lasting
memory of Vivian. Our goal is to reach $10,000 for the fund to become endowed/permanent. If successful the fund will be invested, and the return on investment will be used to disburse the scholarship year after year. Otherwise, the scholarship will only be awarded once.

 Donations in the amount of $25 or more are tax deductible. Please make Checks payable to: 

NVCC Educational Foundation, Inc. 

Also, indicate the name of the scholarship on the check to ensure the donation goes to the correct fund and not just to the school:

If you would like to contribute by credit card, please call NVCC Educational Foundation, Inc. at (703) 323-3023.  The Office Manager (Michelle Beaini) will take down your credit card number and amount.  Don't forget to specify the scholarship name.  Please also send in a completed Matching Grants form if available.

Again, any contribution (by check or credit card) of $25 or more will be acknowledged with a letter from NVCC Educational Foundation, Inc. for income tax purposes.
